New Delhi, Jan 9 (Daily Bhaskar) : At a time when women's safety has become a raging debate post mass molestation in Bengaluru and similar incidents in national capital, a prank video by YouTuber Sumit Verma has come under an avalanche of criticism.
Sumit, who is a DPS, RK Puram alumnus, apparently shot the video in Delhi’s Connaught Place in which he randomly kissed women and ran away.
The video was uploaded on the prankster's YouTube channel 'The Crazy Sumit' titled the 'funniest Indian YouTube prank of 2017'.
With more than 2000 likes on the video, it was noticed by the netizens who asked authorities to take it down and take action against the uploader as the video was an act of sexual assault in the garb of humour.
After a massive backlash on social media platforms and media channels, Sumit was forced to delete the video from his YouTube channel and issue an apology.
However, the video also came under the notice of Delhi Police and has prompted an investigation into the matter.
