TCS net up 10.9 per cent in Q3


Mumbai, Jan 12 (IANS): Global software major Tata Consultancy Services on Thursday said it posted net profit of Rs 6,778 crore for third quarter of fiscal 2016-17, registering 10.9 per cent growth.

In a regulatory filing to the BSE, the city-based IT bellwether said revenue for the quarter under review grew 8.7 per cent over last year to Rs 29,735 crore as per Indian accounting norms.

Under the International Financial Reporting Standard, net income grew 7.9 per cent to $1,000 and revenue up 5.8 per cent to $4,387 million.
