Sheen hopes 'Mad Families' sparks race discussions

Los Angeles, Jan 13 (IANS): Actor Charlie Sheen is hoping that his "racially inappropriate" jokes in the upcoming movie "Mad Families" will encourage viewers to discuss issues related to race.

Sheen will also serve as executive producer for the comedy, in which he will play Charlie Jones.

He hopes people will have an "open dialogue" after seeing the TV movie, which features no offensive dark humour, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"The film is hysterical, it's funny as hell. It's very diverse," Sheen said on TV show "Good Morning America".

"There's a scene where we all pass around a megaphone and tell the most racially inappropriate jokes in the history of the known universe, and it's funny as hell. No one in the movie (was) offended, so I do believe that anyone watching it won't be, either," Sheen added.
