Margao, Feb 11: Margao police unearthed a flesh trade racket on Sunday February 10 evening arresting three pimps along with three prostitutes and their customers. All together 8 suspects were arrested in this connection.
According to Margao police, acting on a tip-off by locals, they raided a house at Firgulem-Navelim, belonging to a widow named Savita Nigudkar (35) who is alleged to be behind the racket and nabbed all those involved in the flesh trade.
A 16 year-old-girl hailing from Mumbai was among the arrested. The rest are from Ponda and Margao.
Savita Nigudkar, Mahadev Talwar, Edlic Diniz, are among those arrested in this connection. Names of the customers have not been revealed by police.
The girls were sent to Apna Ghar, Mershem. Margao Police is investigating the case further.
