Mangaluru, Jan 23: The audio release of director Prajwal Kumar Attavar's second directorial venture 'Thottil' was held at Town Hall on Sunday, January 22.

The songs of the much-awated film were released by a bunch of kids who were present at the Town Hall for a dance programme. 'Thottil' means cradle. The  audio CD’s of the songs were kept in a cradle on the stage which were later opened and released by the kids.

"Thottil is the journey of a mother who faces lots of problems while bringing up her child. It is a story potraying the sentiments of a mother," said Prajwal.

'Thottil' has seven songs composed by M Dolvin Kolalgiri. Dr Abhishek Rao, Mohammad Iqbal, Pallavi, Dolvin, Prajoth D'sa , Nihal Tauro and Sowmya Bangera have lent their voices for the songs. Deepak Kotian, Shashiraj Rao and Keerthan Bhandary have written the lyrics.

Songs like Kabiteda oale, Ponnu onji, Oala itthi ponnu, Karidina kari ninepudu and Amma O Amma have come out really good. The album will be liked by young and old alike for sure.

'Thottil' which is expected to be released this summer has Vijeth Suvarna and Surekha Bhat making their debut as a lead pair. Aravind Bolar, Umesh Mijar, Shabarish Kabbinale, VJ Chaithra Anchan and others will be seen in pivotal roles. 'Thottil' has been shot Mangaluru, Udupi, Hassan and Karkala.

Prajwal Kumar Attavar first film 'Rambarooti' was a success. The multi-talented director has written the story, screenplay and dialogues along with directing 'Thottil'.

Prakesh Kabettu and Richard D’Cunha have jointly produced 'Thottil' under the banner of Opera Dream Movies.

Director Prajwal Kumar, producer Prakash Kabettu, Richard D' Cunha, hero Vijeth Suvarna, villain Rajesh Skylark, child artiste Prathik Shetty, co actors Sandesh Kotian, Chaitra, Sooraj, Harish Shetty, lyrics writer Keerthan Bhandary Kulai and Deepak S Kotian were present for the release.
