Mangaluru: Valencia electrocution – Victim Sandeep laid to rest at Maroor

Mangaluru, Jan 31: One among the three victims of Valencia electrocution, Sandeep was laid to rest on Monday January 30 at Maroor near Moodbidri.

Sandeep, son of Rukmaya Poojary from Maroor, was working for a hotel in Mangaluru for the past 15 years.

Three people dying instantly after coming into contact with high tension power cables hanging above the house had shaken the city on Sunday, January 29.

The funeral of Valerian Lobo and his wife Hazmy Lobo will take place on Thursday, February 2 at Valencia as some relatives of the deceased are expected to arrive.

    Very sad . I literally wept by seeing this news. May their souls rest in peace. May God give strength to their kins to bear this huge loss. We all should keep in mind about safety for our self and the public, and start reporting any unsafe conditions that may come across with our daily life ,to the respective authorities.

    The DC and Mescom should understand and find out solutions to the present situations.
    There should not open live ope wires in the city and residential areas.
    There should be laws and mandatory to have underground cable connections for all residential projects The incident and images on this tragedy are horrifying .
