New Delhi, Feb 1 (IANS): Delhi was on Wednesday engulfed in dense fog, bringing down the visibility to 150 metres.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average. The Met office has forecast moderate fog throughout the day.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 23 degrees Celsius, a Met official said.
According to the official, the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 100 per cent.
As many as 24 trains were runing behind their schedule due to poor visibility in parts of north India.
"Four trains were rescheduled and two were cancelled," said a statement from the Northern Railways.
Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded at 23.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 9.8 degrees Celsius, both a notch above the season's average.
