Margao: MMC Serves Notice to Golden Circus for Pollution

Margao Feb 15: N D Agarwal, chief officer of Margao Municipal Council has served '"Show-cause Notice'' to Golden Circus Management, alleging that they have created pollution around the Circus place.

MMC came in action when locals and councilor complained about the same to the chief officer, saying that circus has not maintained cleanliness in the area. People are concerned that they may get affected with diseases owing to the pollution by the circus company.

Circus had obtained 'No Objection Certificate' from MMC to erect pendal and running the Circus at Kadamba bus stand, Margo. But according to Agarwal they have failed to obey the rules and regulations laid down by MMC, and have infringed the NOC rules.

If Circus management fails to answer the Notice in next three days, then MMC will take decision to revoke the NOC given by them.
