Sullia: Former deputy director's son dies in accident at Kushalnagar

Sullia, Feb 4: A youth from here, Dinamani Kevala (37), lost his life after the car in which he was travelling got involved in a head-on collision with a truck at Kushalnagar in Kodagu district. The tragedy happened on the night of Thursday February 2.

Dinamani was the son of Sheelavati Kolambe, who retired as deputy director of PU education of Dakshina Kannada district. Teju, who was also in the ill-fated car, survived with injuries.

Dinamani was functioning as president of Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu district Human Rights Awareness Committee. He has left behind parents, wife and a four-year-old daughter. The body was handed over to family members after conducting of postmortem at the community health centre, Kushalnagar.

A case relating to the accident was registered at Suntikoppa police station. Policemen of this station have taken up the investigation.
