Vijayapura: Bikes collide - one charred, other serious

Vijayapura, Feb 4: After two motor bikes got involved in head-on collision at Arakeri Tanda in the taluk on Friday February 3, one of the bike riders was charred alive. The other rider survived with serious injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Siddappa Kamble (50). Ramesh was moving in his motor bike with a tin of kerosene, when another bike coming from opposite direction hit his bike. Due to the friction, fire got ignited and within seconds, Ramesh was burnt alive on the road.

The rider of the other bike, identified as Prakash Chavan, suffered serious injuries. Both the vehicles also got burnt down in the incident. A case about the incident was registered at the rural police station here.
