DJ Grandtheft set for India tour


New Delhi, Feb 6 (IANS): Toronto-based DJ and producer Grandtheft is set to make his India debut this week as the headliner of the Mad Decent Pre Party tour.

The trap music producer will travel to Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad February 9-11, read a statement from Oji, organiser of Mad Decent Block Party.

Pre-parties will also feature Indian acts like Sickflip, Sid Vashi, DJ MoCity and Oceantied.

Grandtheft, whose music possesses distinct hard-hitting percussion and synths, has been on remix duties for singers such as Katy Perry and Rihanna to EDM artistes like Calvin Harris, Dillon Francis and Alesso.

He has performed at festivals such as Coachella, Ultra, TomorrowWORLD, Mad Decent Block Party and Electric Daisy Carnival.

After the Pre Party tour, the Mad Decent Block Party will begin in India on March 3 in Mumbai, with Major Lazer, Francis and Nucleya announced so far on the line-up.

That three-city tour will also cover Hyderabad and New Delhi.
