Bantwal, Feb 7: A youth succumbed to injuries he suffered in a road accident which occurred around midnight on Sunday February 5. The accident had occurred at Kallakatta in Vittal Casba village on Vittal-Puttur Road.
Pushparaj (20), who belonged to Karenki in Kavalapadur village in Bantwal taluk, died in this accident. He had taken part in a function on Sunday night and was returning home in his motor bike when he suddenly lost control over the two-wheeler. The motor bike suddenly changed its course and sped into a roadside house. In this unexpected development, Pushparaj could not avoid his head smashing into the concrete slab at the lintel of the house.
Pushparaj, who suffered grave injuries in the accident, died on the spot. A case about the accident was registered in Vittal police station.
