Beijing, Feb 9 (IANS): Five people were injured and some houses damaged after a 4.9-magnitude earthquake hit Ludian County in southwest China's Yunnan Province Wednesday, local authorities said on Thursday.
The quake hit Ludian at 7:11 p.m. local time on Wednesday with epicentre monitored at 27.07 degrees north latitude and 103.36 degrees east longitude, Xinhua news agency reported.
The quake struck at a depth of 10 km, according to the China Earthquake Networks Centre.
All the injured have been rushed to hospital for treatment.
