Mangaluru, Feb 9: Yenepoya Dental College in association with Yen Oncocenter and MFAR Constructions Pvt Ltd organised a cancer awareness and screening programme for the staff and workers of MFAR constructions, Mangaluru at Bolar labour quarters on Februray 8.
Farhaad, director finance, Yenepoya University inaugurated the programme. Anil Bhandary Kota, zonal head and Dr Zaffer, CMO, MFAR spoke on the occasion to flag off the programme.
Cancer awareness demonstration was given by Dr Ibrahim Nagnur, Oral Cancer demonstration by Dr Imran Pasha, breast cancer talk by Dr Rachana Prabhu and cervical cancer by Dr Ashwini Shetty, convenor, CAOP, Yenepoya.
Dr Ibrahim Nagnur, HOD, preventive oncology, Yen Oncocenter, Dr Rachana Prabhu, Yenpoya Dental College, Sudarshan Shetty, DGM Projects, MFAR were also present.
Almost 260 people were screened for oral, breast and cervical cancer.
