Bengaluru, Feb 12: "The ideas asserted by Beary Group that are conducive to the development of the country and the state are the ones that inspire others. Bearys Group is the model for other construction companies in the country," said chief secretary of Karnataka state government, Dr Subhash Khuntia.

He was speaking after participating in the unveiling of the specialities of Bearys Global Research Triangle and felicitation of different experts of construction industry held in the company premises on Saturday, February 11.

"The projects taken up by Beary group of industries have speciality and diversity in them. I have seen several buildings constructed by them in the past. Facilities that are environment friendly and naturally available are mostly used in them. Global temperatures have been increasing in the last century by the disasters committed by man knowingly or unknowingly in the name of development of industries. In the circumstances, the concept of green buildings for development to prevent catastrophe is welcome," he said.

"The design of BGRT building is amazing. 84% of space is available for use. It is designed to reduce water consumption by 74% and save electricity up to 54%," he said.

"We are far behind in research and development. Not even 1% of funds is invested on it. Therefore, we depend on other developed countries. However Bearys Group stresses on research and development.

"Bengaluru is the capital of science and technology. It is necessary to stress on research and development in private sector. Bengaluru is also the capital of new business ventures and it has the atmosphere of encouraging new inventions," he said.

New Delhi’s Mahendraraj Consultants chief structural consultant Mahendra Raj speaking on the occasion said that Sayyed Mohammed Beary, president of Beary group has a big heart. "Only earning money is not his aim. He has the urge to provide for new inventions in the area of research and development. I commend them for utilizing my services in the construction of BGRT building," he said.

Beary group president Sayyed Mohammed Beary in his key note address said that they took up the project of 180 crores only while having three crores. "We did a survey in Bengaluru and decided to construct the building that gives importance to development and research. This is a residential area. If our building was only for residence, we would not have been able to provide any contribution to the area. Therefore, we have tried to help talented youth available locally to get jobs," he said.

"This is the best centre for new inventions in society, science and technology. Honouring those who helped us in our efforts and technical staff has made us glad," he said.

Structure –Works of Mahendraraj book was released on the occasion. A mini film on the specialties of BGRT by director Abhaya Simha was shown on the occasion.

Calicut’s N M Salim and Associates chief architect N M Saleem, Bengaluru’s architect and interior designer Manoj Ladhad and Sandeep Jagadish, Mumbai’s collaborative architect’s Mujib Ahmed and Lalitha Tharani were felicitated by handing over a model of BGRT building.

Former minister of education B A Mohidin, Beary’s group’s master Mehmood Beary, A Siddiq Beary, Ashraf Beary, Mazhar beary and other elite were present.
