Margao, Feb 21: Four motorcycles which were parked at Kadamba Bus Stand here caught fire and were comlpetely charred on Wednesday February 20.

Although Margao is known to be a commercial city, it does not have a proper system to park vehicles. Most of the people park their vehicles near the Kadamba Bus stand and then board the buses.

The fire incident has raised questions in people's mind as to how the motorcycles caught fire and whether they were torched purposely by miscreants, as similar incidents have been taking place in recent days.

When contacted the fire officials said that the reason for the fire is not yet known.

Margao police have registered a case against unknown persons in this regard. It was strange that till late evening nobody approached the police to investigate the matter.

'Unless and until someone comes with a complaint, we will be not able to identify the owners of the motorcycles as the vehicles have turned to ashes,' said a police official.
