Mumbai, Feb 14: Mumbai University Kannada department and Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharastra jointly held a programme on the angst of community media news.
Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharastra president Chandrashekar Palethady speaking on the occasion said that there is no life without angst. “Though media exists to inform news, national and regional newspapers themselves create conclusions and important reports fails to reach households. Reporters should be relieved from egos. As commitments have stopped, mediums are traveling towards nothing,” he said.
Senior organizer H B L Rao, Patrakartara Sangha advisory committee member Dr Sunitha M Shetty, Anitha Poojary Takode, Jayarama H Poojary, Kannada department's Rama Udupa, Madhusoodan Rao, Shivaraj K S, Surekha Sundaresh Devadiga, Yajna Narayana, Kumuda Alva, Ganapathi K Mogaveera, Shailaja Hegde, Hema Sadanand Ameen, Anitha S Shetty, Geetha R S and others participated in the discussion.
Editor of 'Guruthu' monthly magazine and researcher Babu Shiva Poojary was present as the guest of honor. Akashvani Mangaluru programme director, reputed journalist and author Dr Sadananda Perla delivered a lecture on the subject.
Mumbai Akashvani Kannada department programme coordinator Sushila S Devadiga sang a welcome song. Patrakartara Sangha honorary chief secretary Rons Bantwal welcomed the gathering. Kannada department assistant Dr Poornima S Shetty compered the programme. Patrakartara Bhavana committee executive president Dr Shiva M Moodigere proposed the vote of thanks.
