Bengaluru: KPCC recommends disciplinary action against Poojary, Sharief

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Feb 17: The state is bracing up for next year's assembly election. Congress plans to silence voices of dissent rising from its own camp in order to see that the image of the party remains intact. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), moving in this direction, has recommended initiation of disciplinary action against veteran Congress leaders, B Janardhan Poojary, and C K Jaffer Sharief.

In a letter addressed to All India Congress Committee, KPCC has pointed out that these leaders have often been putting the party and its chief minister in a soup by airing criticisms and derogatory comments openly, which have been affecting the image of the party and the government. "The party workers have been frustrated by the behaviour of both Sharief and Poojary. There is a need to rein in these leaders in view of the bypoll being held to Nanjangud and Gundlupet assembly constituencies," KPCC said in its letter.

Sources said that the letter also talks about the statements of these disgruntled leaders dampening the spirit of the party workers. Therefore, it has recommended disciplinary action against them. The disciplinary committee of the party headed by A K Antony is likely to take a call on this recommendation shortly.

In the meantime, KPCC is trying to gag A H Vishwanath, former MP from Mysuru, who has also been a bitter critic of chief minister, Siddaramaiah. KPCC has served a notice on him, seeking his explanation for violating party discipline by making derogatory comments against national president of the party, Sonia Gandhi, and vice president, Rahul Gandhi, sources said.

Poojari has been losing like crazy 6 times. He is of no value add to the party. He can screw the party even when if he does not hold any position . Thats the reason he is rightly called Janardhana Baazigar Poojari.

To stand as a Congress candidate in front of Nalin in Mangalore requires guts which Poojary has. There is no congress candidate to contest in Mangalore now. This unique situation made Poojary apart.

Without any prejudice, my view is that any person from any party who makes a debut in politics by hatred towards towards any community, cast, color, language, appeasement of any sort will not sustain in the field however influential may be. This is ultimate truth which cant be reverted.

Before taking any action, Congress high command or kpcc should have called Poojary any time and did any enquiries. ? If they take action then Congress will have to pay for that.

it is very unfair that Mr. Poojary and Mr. sharief are working against Congress at this time, when the ruling party is creating so much problems to the weaker sections. It looks that Mr. Poojary was totally with BJP and was hitting back at our CM on every occasion. If this is true, then it is better he should be kept out of Congress as early as possible.

Poojary is a great leader and must be respected. He played a great role in development of Congress. Hes a great follower of Madam Sonia Gandhi. I feel though he may be outspoken at times. I feel He deserves respect and I personally admire Sri Poojary. He has helped poor people by means of Loanmela in his time as finance minsiter of India. Hes a great perosnality in Indian democracy and we all repsect him
