Mangaluru, Feb 24: The twin wonder from sandalwood blockbuster 'Mr and Mrs Ramachari' and internationally claimed movie 'Suli', Adhvithi Shetty and Ashvithi Shetty have made the city proud by making their presence felt in Sandalwood.
Adhvithi Shetty and Ashvithi Shetty are the daughters of Yathiraj Shetty and Nanda Y Shetty from Bejai in the city. They are the alumni of St Aloysius College and Manipal Institute of Management. Out of the duo, Adhvithi, was crowned as Miss Mangalore Beauty Hair in 2013 and Miss Grandeur in 2014.
Adhvithi will be next seen in 'Girgitle' and 'Chocolate Boy'. This will be her first venture without her sister Ashvithi alongside. She recalled an instance where people, confused between the two, wished her sister Ashvithi instead of her for Girgitle. "Ashvithi is very supportive and she is happy for me," she said.
Speaking to Daijiworld.com, Adhvithi revealed that director Ravi Kiran saw her pictures and offered her 'Girgitle'. "This is the first time I will be seen on screen without my sister. The movie is quite different than regular ones seen nowadays. I will play a contemporary girl, as a lead in the film along with Agnisakhi serial fame Vaishnavi. Director Muttu Kumar's 'Chocolate Boy' is a romantic thriller with a social message. I am working on a web series too. I have a few offers from Telugu and Tamil film industries which I am giving a serious thought," she says.
When asked about coastalwood, Adhvithi replied, "I am a Mangalurean and Tulu is my mother tongue. I will definitely act in a Tulu film if given an opportunity".
Adhvithi Shetty is also seen in ads for Vasan Eye Care, Flipkart and Clean India.
