Mumbai, Mar 10: The primary school division of Navodaya English High School convened by Navodaya Kannada Seva Sangha distributed prizes to winners in curricular and extra-curricular activities held for Kannada medium students. The programme consisted of a cultural programme and lecture for parents which were held at the Navodaya Junior College auditorium, Thane on March 4.
The programme started with prayers by students and a welcome song. Chief secretary of the Sangha, Dayananda S Shetty introduced the guests. Jaya K Shetty, president of the Sangha presented mementoes to the guests and honored them. School teacher Jalajakshi Uchil read the list of winners of the competitions and those who secured highest marks in the annual examination. Kavana T Poojary and Gaurav S Shetty who studied Kannada for the last four years and identified as excellent students were honored with a memento. Teacher Jalajakshi Uchil who served in the school for a long duration of time and is retiring and teacher Arvind Rayar were honored on behalf of the Sangha.
President of the Sangha, Jaya K Shetty chaired the programme. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
