Mercury dips in Delhi after overnight rains


New Delhi, Mar 11 (IANS): Overnight rain brought down the minimum temperature by three notches below the season's average at 11.4 degrees Celsius in the national capital on Saturday morning.

The city has received 2.3 mm rainfall since Friday, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The Met office has forecast a cloudy day ahead.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 85 per cent.

Friday's maximum temperature settled at 25.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 15.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
