Abu Dhabi: KCO to hold entertainment extravaganza ‘Fiesta’ on May 5

Abu Dhabi, Mar 12: KCO is all set to rock the Konkani community of UAE with this year’s top entertainment extravaganza ‘Fiesta 2017’. The spectacular event comprising of high quality entertainment will be held on May 5 at the Abu Dhabi Country club, from 6.00 pm onwards.

The organizers, the Konkani Cultural Organization (KCO), under the capable leadership of Dolphy Vas are upbeat with their continuously successful shows and are all set to take entertainment to another level.

Inspired by their success in the past and the response they have received from the community towards this signature event, they are planning an exciting extravaganza that their audience will enjoy and cherish.

Artists are being flown in from India for the event. There will be a mixture of Konkani, Hindi, and English songs performed by leading singers and musicians from Mangaluru and Goa. The entertainers include the hugely popular band Rhythm and Blues, a top band from Goa along with Jacqueline Fernandes and Elton Nazareth from Mangaluru.

Leslie Rego, compere of great repute and a people’s man, will keep the audience entertained.

The event will be spiced up by the scintillating Bollywood dances, comedy, games, attractive prizes and a sumptuous buffet dinner.

The organizers have invited all to be a part KCO's annual show and have promised to provide delightful entertainment from evening till midnight. A full house audience is expected like in the past and the organizers are confident that this show will surpass previous year’s success. The show has all the ingredients to become one of the best entertainment events.

A brief on the artists

Rhythm and Blues

 

Rhythm and Blues are a professional band from Goa, standing out as one of the most versatile bands with an amazing repertoire to entertain any audience. The band is made up of Filipe Fortes - Bass Guitar, Nezba Fortes – Singer, Lulu Fortes – Singer, Percussion, Paul Po - Lead guitar, Revlon Cutinho – Keyboard, drums, Omi Omkr – Vocals, keyboard, Igi Rodrigues - Keyboard and Savio Fernandes – Drums.

Jacqueline Fernandes

A professional vocalist, Jacqueline is pursuing a musical career as a soloist. Winner of the Title ‘Ranni Kogull’ – Queen Nightingale of Mangaluru at the SOAD- 4 Konkani singing competition organized by Mandd Sobhann in association with Daijiworld 24x7 in May 2015. She has also won various Eastern and Western Vocal Solo Singing
competitions in Mangalore.

Jacqueline was part of the Performing Musical Troupe ‘ROL’ – Rhapsody Out Loud and represented Mangalore nationally at the acclaimed show on colors TV namely, ‘India’s Got Talent’ season 7. She went on to perform up to the semifinals on the show.

Currently she is working as Assistant Professor and Consultant Speech Pathologist at Father Muller Medical College Hospital.

Elton Nazareth

Genres that Elton has mastered, Pop, classic rock, rock ‘n’ roll, country, swing, jazz, Hindi pop, Bombay masala (style), soft rock, waltz ballad and disco. He has performed with various local hotels, bands and choir.

Leslie Rego

The Master of Ceremony will be the one and only Leslie Rego, who with his unmatched style will keep everybody entertained.
This event is held mainly in support of KCO’s various projects in educating deserving students, medical aid to the destitute and meeting their commitment towards the needy and downtrodden.

This event will provide an opportunity for people to be a part of KCO’s charitable endeavors while providing an occasion to spend quality time with family and friends in a relaxed atmosphere far from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Dolphy Vas, the charismatic hon. President of KCO, is leaving no stone unturned to showcase the great KCO tradition of entertainment. This event has already generated tremendous interest among the entertainment lovers of Abu Dhabi and is slated to be a mega hit.
