Women of India residing in the Persian Gulf region have always played an important role in the daily welfare and progress of Indian men who are toiling in Inndia from the beginning of the discovery of Oil throughout the region. Initially Indians moved into Iraq and Iran, and gradually they moved into Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, U.A.E. and Oman. Since recent decades Indians also moved into Yemen and even Israel. Wherever the Indian men were actively engaged in different professions they were also fortunate enough to take their best partners in life who not only took good care of men but also enriched their professions and trades. Indian ladies always stood tall and strong behind all Indian men.
Wherever Indian married men were unable to take their wives for one reason or another, many Indian families took good care of the bachelors and gave them all the warmth and comfort in their daily life of endeavor. The Indian women in Saudi Arabia played the most important role because the men had no freedom and the life in general was tough and challenging. The Indian women in Saudi Arabia truly served their better halves with a seervice and dedication that was more than that of a "Maharajah".
I remember, one time, almost 45 years ago, in Saudi Arabia, during the Xmas season, when the Women organized a nice Xmas Tree gathering for the benefit of dozens of children, we were even short of men, and my wife even had to serve as a Santa Claus. Each and every woman of Indian origin in the Persian Gulf region therefore deserve to be applauded with a grateful heart. Without the women life would have been a "Place of Isolation" for all Indians who resided and prospered throughout the Persian Gulf region.
I am so glad to read that the International Women Day was celebrated in a grand scaloe in Qatar, a tiny yet rich Sheikhdom that has risen from a quiet community into a vibrant Indian town with talented women in their own colorful sarees, costumes and talents.

Nice to see the beautiful ladies of MCC celebrate international women’s day.

Milanji thank you for inspiring our ladies to rise up, overcome challenges and live life with a never give-up attitude, to tell you the truth our ladies at MCC have been doing that since many years but when it is comes to senior leadership of the club they aren’t given an opportunity only for the reason that they are ladies.

Madam Riana needs all the applause for working day and night for the betterment of the club.
