Pamplona (Spain), Mar 14 (IANS): Kenan Kodro struck a late equaliser as Osasuna played a 1-1 draw against Eibar in La Liga football match at the El Sadar Stadium here.
Eibar, who sit in eighth place in La Liga with hopes of taking a Europa League berth, dominated possession from the start against relegation-bound Osasuna on Monday, reports Efe.
The hosts threatened early in the second half on a counter led by Sergio Leon, while Osasuna defender Oier made a crucial stop against another effort from Inui.
Osasuna enjoyed a good sequence that saw chances for Vujadinovic, Roberto Torres and Leon, yet just as the home side looked their best, Kike Garcia came off the bench for the visitors in the 71st minute and scored seconds later on his first touch.
Kenan Kodro equalised for Osasuna seven minutes later on a good cross from Jaime and it was only a pair of saves by Eibar keeper Yoel against Loe and Oriol Riera that kept the hosts from taking all three points.
The result gives Eibar 40 points, four fewer than seventh-place Athletic Club. Osasuna, with 11 points, is 14 points from safety.
