Murder of TN man for atheism: Bengaluru blast convict suspected

Coimbatore, Mar 19 (Deccan Chronicle): Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam (DVK) activist and atheist H Farook was murdered in Coimbatore on Thursday night on the orders of a Bengaluru blast convict, said reports.

Farook, who belonged to pro-Periyar rationalist group DVK, was killed because of a Facebook post in which one of his children held a placard saying ‘Kadavul illai, Kadavul illai, Kadavul illai (No God, No God, No God)’.

The suspect, M Asradh (31), has surrended. But police believe the murder was carried out by a gang of four belonging to a banned group.

Asradh surrendered before a district magistrate confessing to the murder, but police are looking for a bomb blast accused’s brother-in-law, Saddam Hussain, himself a murder accused, and relative Shamsuddin, said reports.

The name of the blast accused has not been revealed, but he is suspected to have carried out the plan from inside a jail.

Police claimed that most of the members “were part of some banned radical groups a decade ago”. Police believe the bomb blast accused is the mentor of one such group and controlled it through his followers. They said the group had been issuing threats to Farook for his atheist stand as well as targeting similar Muslim youths “who had deviated from the faith”.

Farook

Farook had received warnings from the group earlier asking him to desist from ridiculing God and religion.

Police said Farook was attacked when he stepped out of his house after receiving a call on Thursday night. “A gang of four people chased and hacked him to death. He had deep injuries on his stomach and neck. Although local residents who rushed to the spot tried to catch the assailants, they managed to escape”, the officer was quoted as saying.

In one of his last posts on Facebook on March 13, Farook said his views had made him an enemy of many. He said, “I am an enemy of God, enemy of religion, enemy of caste and enemy of all blind beliefs. But I am not an enemy of humans who believe in humanity.”

Every one have their own opinion on God! Some see miracles & some don't!

If your opinion does not sink with the opinion of majority, then you should keep your opinion to yourself! specially when thousands & thousands of people loosing their family, life, livelihood..etc in the name of God!!!

One should control his/her fingers or else you will loose your head!!!

How does the Bengaluru blast convicts can give order for murder of someone in different state?

How does convict can convey the message from prison and intelligent units don't have any inputs? This can only possible if their is no collaboration between convicts and law enforcement? This may be 'false flag' to divert the attention from original proceedings to prosecute the victim with false charges of other cases.

Mr John, First of all GOD is not just defined as a creator by beleivers. They beleive so many absurd things along with this creation beleif. If God exists something outside as a sepererate entity/ being, then why not extend the logic as to who created God?. Created by another GOD?. many people are curious beyond what mainstream religion tells us. Just becuase we live in an astounding universe to lessen our maddening curiosity have invented some weird answers so that curiosity ends and curiosity does not give us pain. there are people who also debunk creation theory by saying everthing is god meaing you me and everything around us is GOD. meaning nothing is created. nothing gets destroyed & everything is in eternal transformation. this seems to me a better theory though.

    Ok, then who created God?
Did God come into existence out of nothing? If so, then your argument falls flat.

    John,

I want to explain to you in plain and simple language. Atheist (such as me) are the people who reject the claim that is made by Theist (such as you) that there is God because theist (such as you) have not provided any evidence for it. This is the most simplest thing i can come up with to make you understand.

Now after reading above, you may be thinking why should i give evidence for my belief, its upto atheist to prove that there is no god. Well, if you make a claim then you have to provide evidence. If any other aspects of our life this would be a norm. so why should it be any difference in this subject matter.

Reasonable believers and atheists are good for a society! Extreme believers (faith) are as good as Farook's murderers!! Extreme faith has spoiled todays world! Some do it for money and career, rest of them are brain washed followers!!

Who gives this people to take someone's life. I don't think any religion on the earth permits this. First be humane to every one as human beings then if you have time talk about other things. May be his progressive thinking frightens the extremists ... if at all they are EDUCATED they will think over it ...
