Mangaluru, Mar 25: A head constable who was accused under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act jumped to death from the fourth floor of the district court here on Saturday March 25.
The deceased has been identified as Praveen, who was head constable at Bajpe police station.
He was being produced in the II district and sessions court when he suddenly jumped off the fourth floor and landed in the second floor.
A critically injured Praveen was rushed to Wenlock hospital where he passed away later in the evening.
Praveen had been booked under POCSO Act for allegedly filming a girl while she was bathing.
