M'luru: School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya to hold national conference for HR professionals

Mangaluru, Mar 31: School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya will be hosting a two-day national conference on HR Disruption - Explore Evolve Energise on April 4 and 5. The conference aims at providing a common platform to budding HR professionals across the country to enhance their knowledge and reflect upon the relevance of HR in the emerging business scenario.

Chandra Sekhar, IPS, commissioner of police, Mangaluru city will inaugurate the conference on Tuesday April 4 at 10.00 am. Charles Carvalho, seniour manager – HR, VVF India Ltd, Mumbai will be the keynote speaker. Dr Lakshminarayana Bhat, registrar of the college will preside.

The valedictory session will be held on April 5 at 4.45 pm. P J Rai, general manager – HR, MCF will be the chief guest and Divakar Kadri, general manager, Cardolite Speciality Chemicals will be the guest of honour. Dr Jenis P Mary, vice principal of the college will preside.

The technical sessions will be addressed by eminent speakers. A session on 'Shaping culture and driving strategy for business success' will be handled by Prabod Sirur, vice president – HR, Manipal Technologies Ltd. The second session on developing leaders in a VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) Environment: Role of HR by G Girinarayanan, past president, NIPM Karnataka Chapter, Bengaluru. A session on 'Driving performance through effective performance management system will be handled by Niveditha Mirajkar, freelance soft skill trainer, Mangaluru and another session on HR analytics: Driving change to influence key decisions will be addressed by Aloysius Kiran, executive – HR, Titan Company Ltd, Hosur.

Various competitions like Tug of War of Words, Shipwreck, Management Quiz, Business Plan Competition and theme shows will be held for the participants.
