Three of family from Puttur, including baby, die in accident in Saudi

Puttur, Apr 1: In a tragic incident, three persons of a Puttur family including a baby died in a road accident in Tabuk city of Saudi Arabia on Friday March 31.

The deceased has been identified as advocate Vazeer Ahmed (35), his 10-month-old son Iyaan Abdurrehman, and Vazeer's sister Khamrunnisa (37).

They hailed from Salmar in Puttur taluk.

Khamrunnisa's husband Abdul Jabbar sustained serious injuries and has been admitted in a hospital in Tabuk, it is learnt.

Sources said that the accident occured after one of the tyres of the car in which the family was travelling burst.

They were returning from Makkah after finishing Umrah (pilgrimage), sources said.

Vazeer and Khamrunnisa were children of Abdurrehman, a resident of Nellikatte in Salmar. Vazeer had been residing in Bannur here.
