Bengaluru: No actors as star campaigners for by-polls, CM’s son Yathindra among 40

Bengaluru, Apr 2: Congress has decided to use star campaigners for the forthcoming Nanjangudu and Gundlupet by-elections. Surprisingly well known stars Ambareesh and Ramya do not appear in the list.

Dr Yathindra, son of Siddaramaiah is in the list of 40 star campaigners. Only actors that appears in the list is, Jayamala.

Ambareesh and Ramya are popular leaders from the same region with star value. They always appeared on top in the campaigning list of any election. Their exclusion has raised eyebrows even among Congress workers. But no explanation has come so far from Congress leadership.

Ambareesh, after he lost minister’s post, has not been active much in politics. Ramya too, for the past five months, has kept low profile. After her political mentor S M Krishna joined BJP, she has been totally silent.

Siddaramaiah, Dr G Parameshwara, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Jayamala, Rizwan Arshad, Mallikarjun Kharge, Oscar Fernandes, Veerappa Moily and most of state cabinet ministers are in the star campaigners list which includes the name of political novice Dr Yathindra.

Its a really sad to learn that Ktaka Cong is running out of campaigners. The reason being , Rahul Gandhi, the PM of new nation Ullala and Priyanka Vadra are the star campaigners of BJP despite being in Cong. Couple of Road shows and yatras by this duo, will sink the Cong . Baazigar Jannanna in his weekly press conference will ensure Yathindra loses face . The rest in Cong have lost credibility.
