Mangalore, Mar 13: Lions Club International, the world's largest service body, will be organizing its 5th district convention on Saturday March 15 and Sunday March 16 at St Aloysius College grounds.
This information was given by H G Venkatesh, district governor of Lions Club, while speaking to media persons here on Thursday March 13.
According to him around 1500 to 1800 delegates are expected to participate in this convention, which will include business sessions as well as entertainment programmes, he added.
P S Ranganath, former international project chairman will be the chief guest at the inaugural session, which will take place at 5 pm on March 15.
District governor H G Venkaesh will be presiding over the function and vice-district governor K Mohan Kamath will release a souvenir ‘Vishwamangala’ on the occasion, he added.
K Dinesh Rao, G R Shetty, K Ram Mohan Alva and Taranath Shetty were present on the occasion.
