Monaco (France), Apr 5 (IANS): Ligue 1 leaders AS Monaco rode Valere Germain's brace to beat ten-man Lille 2-1 at home, making into French Cup semi-finals.

Monaco wanted a redemption from their 1-4 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in last Saturday's French League Cup final, reports Xinhua news agency.

Skipper Germain broke the deadlock for Monaco in the 35th minute on Tuesday, and Lille met more trouble five minutes later as Carlens Arcus was shown a red card a foul on Jorge.
