Mangaluru: Dr Austin Prabhu accorded warm welcome at World Konkani Centre

Mangaluru, Apr 5: Famous Konkani author from Chicago, America, former IA Lions district governor and founder secretary of Konkani Bhasha Mandal Karnataka, Dr Austin D'Souza Prabhu visited the World Konkani Centre. He commended the projects in Konkani language, literature, culture, world veda, 'Kshamata' and 'Kshamata U Get in' training camps taken up by World Konkani Centre.

Dr Prabhu visited the World Konkani reading room, Hall of fame, museum and digitization and expressed his appreciation on Vision Konkani Samaja 2030.

He was welcomed by World Konkani Centre founder president Basti Vaman Shenoy. Treasurer B R Bhat, World Konkani Centre vice president Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, Venkatesh N Baliga, convener of Konkani teaching in schools, Dr K Mohan Pai, Usha Mohan Pai, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy registrar Dr Devadas Pai, Arso newspaper editor H M Pernal, Konkani Bhasha Mandal president Geetha C Kini, secretary Rathnaker Kudva, Mangaluru Akashvani Kendra retired senior announcer Shankuntala R Kini, Dubai businessman Gokulanath Prabhu, Mangaluru Akashvani's Florine Roche, advocate Sathish Kumar Bhat, Konchadi Mahalasa Narayani trustee Ullala Raghavendra Kini, World Konkani Centre secretary B Prabhaker Prabhu, Vishwa Bhasha Samsthana assistant director Gurudath Bantwalkar and others were present.
