Spanish football club signs pact to coach Chinese players

Madrid, Apr 5 (IANS): Spanish second division side UCAM Murcia have signed an agreement which will see them welcome talented Chinese youngsters into their youth system.

The agreement signed with Huaou Management on Tuesday will see a group of young Chinese players continue their sporting and academic development with UCAM -- a club which represents the university in the city located in the southeast of Spain, reports Xinhua news agency.

The first batch of youngsters will arrive from China this summer and the Spanish club has not ruled out the agreement also leading to the signing of more experienced Chinese players for their first team squad for the 2017-2018 season.

UCAM are currently in their first ever season in the Spanish Liga 123 (second division) and are in 15th place in the classification with a two-point cushion over the relegation zone.
