Mangaluru, Apr 7: “Attack on police will be taken seriously. Such attack on police personnel on duty is a matter of concern. No culprits will be spared,.” said city police commissioner Chandra Shekar on Friday, April 7.

He was speaking to media after revealing about the arrests made relating to the assault on Urwa police ASI Aithappa.

Shameer and Niyaz

“Shameer (27) and Niyaz (20), both residents of Katipalla are the arrested persons. They were arrested near Pumpwell on Thursday, April 6. Motor cycle has been seized from their possession.” added police commissioner.

“Shameer is facing 9 cases while Niyaz faces 5 cases. We formed three teams to nab the culprits. Urwa police inspector Ravish Nayak and his team arrested them. We have produced them in court and have asked for custody,” he said.

“We will take this investigation to a logical conclusion. We need another two days to know the conspiracy behind the attack. Investigation is on.” police commissioner concluded.

Even some category of persons kill their father and even brothers/sisters for one or the other silly reasons. So there is no value for human life. thats why they try to assualt and kill Officers on duty. Police Commissioner has to take serious action. No bail should be granted for their release.

Police Machinery in the first place should not give in to Political parties. They should have their own stand. That reminds me of one and only police commissioner of Mumbai, Julio Rebeiro who while assuming the office had made clear with the Politicians not to involve in the Police matters. And by saying that he flushed out all the under world dons and bad political party leaders.

Interior Minister of state and central should be given powers to control Law and Orders and not interfere with the Police policies.

No one has a right to attack any one. Police Force is available at all times to redress any grievance . Attacking A POLICEMAN ON DUTY IS CRIME which is considered very very serious not only by LAW-ENFORCEMENT but by the public too.

JUSTICE MUST PREVAIL AT ALL COSTS. With the leadership of Mr. Chandrashekar it will not long before all the persons involved in this heinous crime are booked.

Constitution of India gives basic rights of protest to citizen of India if there is violation from the state authority.
Responsibility of the law enforcement authority is to provide the safety of every citizen of India. No one as right to take the law into their own hands.
We are only hearing only side of this story. There is hardly any mass media left who has done any independent investigation on any of the past of present criminals.

It should be also noted that independent investigation 'cobra post' sting has already proved the nexus between fanatic groups and law enforcement in the past.

The credibility of the Mangalore law enforcement is at one of the lowest. The citizen should have every right to know what lead to the protest which turned ugly? What is the reason for protest? In democracy we need to hear from both the parties?

Peace loving community went to such an extent that they want a separate country carved out of Australia as per Australian Media reports

    Dear Commissioner
Kindly reveal identities of captured people instead of masking them. If you gonna mask them, don't disclose their identities. By revealing their faces the General public can have an idea of what theyare dealing with even if they are on parole.
