Mangaluru: Kambala - secretary level meeting postponed

Mangaluru, Apr 11: The special meeting of secretaries of different departments that was to take place at New Delhi on April 10 for early passage of Kambala ammendment bill that has been referred for Presidential assent, has been postponed. The meeting now has been slated to be held on April 13.

On Sunday, union minster, D V Sadananda Gowda, had said that the bill will be sent to the President for his signature within ten days, once it gets approval at this meeting. Sources said that the home secretary expressed his inability to hold the meeting as scheduled as the parliamentary session is on till April 12. At his advice, the meeting was postponed to April 13, they stated.
