Mangaluru: 'Brave' girl catches snake, leaves people in suspense

Daijiworld Media Network- Mangaluru (SB/RJP)

Mangaluru, Apr 12: A teenage girl was seen holding a snake in city on Tuesday April 11 and the pictures went viral within minutes in social media. When many people have admired the girl for her ‘bravery’, she has left everyone is suspense.

Several people thought that the photo was fake. But after Daijiworld investigated, it is clear that the incident indeed took place at Bejai Anegundi on the above mentioned date.

As per eye witnesses, there was a sudden panic when the snake appeared and the girl came at once and caught the snake. Some said it was a serpent. Some said it was an ordinary snake. People gathered appreciated the girl for her bravery. Then the crowd dispersed.

All of them were under the impression that the girl was from that vicinity. But now it is learned that she was a daughter of labourers from Bijapur. The girl had revealed that she is an eighth standard student at a school in Kapikad.

When Daijiworld went to check the place where the incident happened, the residents there told that the girl was a guest in a house and had come with other three, probably her parents and another person. But all of them left the place on Wednesday morning.

Now her disappearance has raised questions. Some people say no one knows what happened to the snake after that incident. They do not know why the girl and her family ‘disappeared’ at once.

One local said the girl was seen dancing holding the snake in hand. He thinks the snake was brought by the family itself.

This snake episode has created more suspense than answers.

Before we mesmerizing the effects of girl and who she is etc.discuss,we should think, thank God noone came to harm because of this snake.I think these three who came to visit the neighbourhood ,must have brought the snake with hem and let out .I am sure it belongs to them.As they went inside, snake must have gone in search of them, and as people were in panic, she must have come and caught hold of it as you catch a puppy. For a small girl as she ,it wouldnt be easy to catch a unknown snake and raise it ,afterall snake will defend self suppose a unknown person. As they went must have taken with.

This is a cobra which is highly venomous n aggressive! It is impossible that it would not have bit her the unprofessional way she is holding it! Looks like it's poison sacs have been removed n they r actually rearing it themselves! Just a drama!

The girl may have some mystic powers No one will otherwise have guts to hold a snake like this I feel we must take these things with more divine feeling. So many things in life can not be explained and the girl may really have some powers.

It looks like a venomous snake. If it belongs to that girl or her family they should have been taken to task for setting it loose (intentionally or not). What if it had bit some innocent kids playing in that area?

From the pose of the girl as well as of the snake it seems both are well acquainted with each other. The snake has not shown any type of resistance movements. It simply raised its head and given that pose. May be the family belongs to nomadic category. thats why they are not seen after that incident.

NO DOUBT AT ALL THE SNAKE HAS BEEN TRAINED AND BROUGHT UP BY THEM ONLY. ANY ANIMAL ONCE YOU LOOK AFTER THEM FEED THEM THEY WILL NEVER HARM YOU, AND THEY WILL NEVER FORGET YOU EVEN YOU ARE AWAY FROM THEM FOR YEARS, AND THEY MISS YOUR PRESENCE RECOGNIZE YOU EVEN IF YOU COME BACK AFTER YEARS. WATCH A HINDI MOVIE(DOOD KA KARZ) AND ALSO THEY LISTEN TO THE COMMAND OF ITS OWNER. BUT I COULD SAY A HUMAN BEING LIKE ME AND YOU UNGRATEFUL AND IN GRATITUDE WILL FORGET A PERSON/TREE/ANIMAL WHO HELPED YOU DURING OUR LIFE TIME. I DONT CARE IF SOMEONE DISAGREES HERE.
