Mumbai: Bantara Sangha honors Sathish Shetty Patla in Bisu Parba

Mumbai, Apr 15: Bantara Sangha celebrated Bisu Parba and anniversary at Radhabai Thimmappa Bhandary auditorium, Kurla on Friday April 14.

Yakshadhruva Patla Foundation founder president Yaksha Chakreshwar Sathish Shetty Patla was felicitated by vice president of the Sangha, Padmanabha S Payyade on the occasion. Joint secretary Kishore Kumar Shetty Kuthyar, cultural and literary committee executive president Ravindranath M Bhandary and Ashok Pakkala were present on the dais.

Mumbai cricket association honorary joint secretary Dr P V Shetty and Jagathika Bantara Okkoota vice president Aikala Harish Shetty, A C Bhandary lit the traditional lamp and inaugurated the celebration.

“Bisu Parba is the beginning of the New Year. The knowledge of culture of young Bunt leader Ravindra Bhandary was the reason for celebrating Bisu Parba in Bantara Sangha. It reflects on the culture of Bunts. The leadership and character of loving others are responsible for the speedy progress of Bunts community. Therefore, it is necessary to honor some of the active office bearers and members every year. The culture can be preserved by such activists,” said Aikala Harish.

Mahavishnu temple chief priest Vidwan Arvind Banninthaya conducted religious rituals at the beginning and distributed Theertha Prasada. Cultural and literature committee executive president Ravindranath M Bhandary welcomed everyone and delivered the key note address. Prashanthi D Shetty sang a prayer. Dayasagar Chouta introduced those felicitated. Ashok Pakkala introduced the guests and compered the programme. Jaya A Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
