Mumbai, Apr 17: Billavara association Mumbai held a programme on medical emergencies and health management at Billavara Bhavan, Santacruz east on Saturday afternoon April 15.

Association president Nithyananda D Kotain presided over the programme. Well known doctor Sathish Kamath Saccharipete lit the customary lamp and set the programme in motion. Chief guest, dentist Dr Sathish M Sanil, association vice president Bhasker V Bangera and Shanker D Poojary were present on the dais.

“In these modern times, health of the people has deteriorated due to lack of self confidence. In this life of competition, health can be maintained only by special initiatives. Maintenance of health is better than consuming medicines. Experience derived from medical camps such as these is essential to act on health,” said Dr Sathish Shanker.

Dr Vishwanath Karnad, Gopal Kalyanpur, Morla Rathnaker Shetty, Raviraj K Kallianpur, honorary joint secretary Dhananjay S Kotian, Premnath P Kotian, honorary joint treasurer Sadashiva V Ullal, Harish G Poojary, Shekar Salian Santacruz, Ravindra A Ameen, Baby S Kukyan and others were present.

Guru Narayana night school students sang a prayer song. Vishwanath Thonse introduced the guests. Bhasker V Bangera presented flower bouquets to the guests and honored them.

Honorary chief secretary Dharmapal G Anchan welcomed everyone, compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
