Kalaburagi: Stray dogs maul 5-year-old girl to death

Kalaburagi, Apr 20: Street dogs mauled a small girl to death at Kalamandaragi Bandenakera Tanda near Kamalapura on the midnight of Tuesday.

Nandini (5), daughter of Aravind Jadhav and Renuka from Tanda, is the deceased. Jadhav presently works in Dubai.

As per details, Renuka went out to fetch water from a tank at around 12.30 am when Nandini was asleep in the house. When she returned, she did not find the daughter in the house. When she searched for some minutes, she found dogs biting Nandini. She carried Nandini to the house without knowing the child was already dead.

The girl had sustained grievous injuries on the neck, throat and head due to which the girl had breathed her last.
It is said that Nandini woke up when Renuka was away and went out in search of her. She was attacked and killed by stray dogs on the street at that time.

Tanda village gets water supply only at night.

Very sad indeed. RIP. Hope the appropriate authority personnel shall eliminate this type of risks to innocent people. Stray dogs should be captured and sent to our borders to attack our country's enemies.

John...it's of your wrong assumption. Even in metropolitian city mumbai in some places like colaba geeta nagar people use to get water at midnight. Only people who suffers knows it's ordeal. How people live in such condition wants to appreciate.
You didn't seen when her husband is in abroad how did she managed her home not come to your notice. May be many reasons behind to keep her home open and gone to fetch water.

@John mangalore, first understand the situation.we /you dont know the distance she has to go,and how long she must wait in a line. One knows only who experienced. Instead of piting the family, you write so what.Heart rendering.when husband is not at home, she has to manage the home alone with child.Horrible the small girl had to suffer.where any neighbours not in that area?didnt hear her cry means they must be staying far from each other.Heartfelt sympathy to the family.what a bad luck, girl woke up and went to search of mother.Only if mother could have closed the door!sometimes it doesnt come to mind and unluck happens.May the soul of this girl be with angels.who knows now the husband also doesnt give the fault on his wife.Such dogs must be fed to the leopards or leopards should be let out in that area.

There are rapes and murders happening every single day out there but none of you guys bother. The only time comments flow in here is when it's a political news or religious nonsense, and only the blame each other. If culling and murdering wrongdoers was the only solution then why aren't humans killed? Why are they put behind bars and then they contest elections and then become your heroes to rule everyone around. There are habitual paedophiles who rape and murder kids evryday but why would anyone care, dogs are easier to pick isn't it. Go check out the PCA act and educate yourselves before talking nonsense on a public platform.

Now a days people have more sympathy towards animals than human beings. Panchayat to be held responsible for this. Its heartbreaking to hear such a violent death to a tender small child. May her soul rest in peace.Blaming the mother may not help as she already under the trauma of loosing her chilld. Will the authorities take swift action?.

Stray dog menace is increasing. Part of which is contributing to this is people throwing garbage especially left over food items here and there in the road side. Stray dogs thrive on feeding on these garbage.
