Kasargod: Collision between ambulance and car - Two women die

Kasargod, Apr 30: As a result of a collision between a car and ambulance, two women died and three persons sustained injuries on Sunday, April 30. The accident took place at Mallangai near Bandiyod.

The deceased have been identified as Juleika (60) and Maria Mufida (17).

The collision took place between the ambulance, which was on its way to Mangaluru carrying a seriously injured person in a stabbing incident, and a car. Local people came to the accident spot and managed to take out the injured women from the car to send them to hospital. But both the women were declared brought dead.

The injured person from the ambulance was taken in another vehicle to the hospital.

There was a traffic jam for some minutes on the Kasargod-Mangaluru highway after the accident.

Kumble police have registered a case.

    One reads and hears of these accidents every day.With all the care and attention by the Police and the Traffic forces accidents take place unabated.

    Could the department of crime and traffic think of some means to avoid these kind of accidents and deaths. Will speed governors be one of the means
