Sarabjit’s Wife and Family Get Passport, to Visit Pakistan

Jalandhar, Mar 26: Indian death row prisoner Sarabjit Singh’s family including his wife and daughters were issued passports on Tuesday to enable them to visit Pakistan.

His sister Dalbir Kaur had applied for five passports under the “tatkal” scheme for a proposed visit by the family to Pakistan out of which four were issued by the regional passport office on Tuesday.

Those issued passports included Sarabjit’s wife Sukhpreet Kaur, his two daughters Swapandeep Kaur and Poonam and his sister Dalbir Kaur.

“Four of us were issued the passports but my husband Baldev Singh could not be issued the passport on Tuesday”, Dalbir Kaur told PTI on the phone, adding, that she would visit the Pakistan High Commission on Wednesday to apply for the necessary visas.
