Dubai: 38-year-old Indian Kills Wife for Affair

Seven Days News

Dubai, Mar 31: A jealous husband strangled his wife to death after catching her with another man, a Dubai court heard yesterday. The Indian suspect, 38, is alleged to have found the man in his flat and then noticed that his wife was wearing only minimum dress. The other man fled and the suspect is alleged to have then attacked his wife.

“He told us that he returned to the flat and knocked on the door but nobody opened it and he said he heard his wife talking to a stranger,” a policeman said in the court records. “He said he asked her about the man but she refused to answer.” He is then believed to have strangled her with his hands before grabbing a piece of cloth and choking her until she died.

The man was found by police after they received a call from horrified neighbours who had found the woman’s body. When they arrived at the scene, they noticed the man hanging around and acting in a strange manner. “When we stopped him he told us the victim was his wife,” a policeman said. The suspect has admitted his guilt but yesterday told the judge: “I didn’t intend to kill her.”

The trial has been adjourned until next month.
