The much-awaited Gulal festival of Zambaulim was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour. The festival is the last of the overall holi celebrations in the state.

Gulal is held in the courtyard of the temple of Lord Damodar of Zambaulim (around 60 kms from Panaji) and is normally played with pink (Gulal) colour . The celebration formally ends with the 'Palkhi procession' of Lord Damodar.
