Mangaluru, May 26: The much awaited Tulu film 'Yesa' from U2 Cinemas Talkies banner produced by Uday Shetty Kantavara and Uday Salian released with grand fanfare here at Jyothi theater on Friday, May 26.

Director Jayanth MN, actors along with the invited dignitaries ligted the traditional lamp. Dr Jeevan R Ballal, Ln Kishor Kumar and well-known Tulu artist Devadas Kapikaad were present as chief guests.

Dr Jeevan R Ballal speaking on the occasion said, "Many movies are being released in coastalwood now. many of our local talents are getting a platform to showcase their talents. A few of them have got opportunities in other film industries as well. I know the producers of 'Yesa' very well. They came forward to produce the film only due to their love towards their mother tongue. I congratulate both Uday Shetty and Uday Salian and wish them all success."

Wishing his best to the 'Yesa' team, Devadas Kapikad said, "People always back good films. Keeping this formula in mind, Yesa team produced this movie. Many of my disciples have worked in this film. I feel like it is my own film. A very talented cast and crew has worked for this movie. So I hope the output is good. My congratulations to the entire team for this special day."

Earlier, the director, producer and actors entered the theater premises with a procession on open vehicles.

Jayanth MN directorial 'Yesa' narrates the story of a stage artist's life. It is said to be a drama with a dash of comedy. Television actors Rahul Amin and Radhika Rao will be seen in the lead role. Seasoned actors like Naveen D Padil, Bhojraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar and others will be play pivotal roles in the film.Gururaj MB and Gururaj Bayar have composed the music for the film. Besides acting in the film, Bhojraj Vamanjoor has lent his voice to one of the songs in 'Yesa'. Mohan Loganathan has handled the cinematography for the film, while the story and screenplay is by Shobharaj Pavoor.
