Trend Micro wins VMware Global Partner Innovation Award


Bengaluru, Jun 2 (IANS): Global leader in security software and solutions Trend Micro Incorporated on Friday announced that it has won the VMware 2016 Global Partner Innovation Award in the technical independent software vendor (ISV) category.

Trend Micro was recognised at VMware Partner Leadership Summit 2017, held in Ranchos Palos Verdes, California, last week, the compnay said in a statement.

"I am pleased to recognise this year's Global Partner Innovation Award winners, which are given to a select group of partners for their exceptional efforts in 2016," Ross Brown, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Partners and Alliances, VMware, said in a statement.

Since 2011, Trend Micro has been recognised every year by VMware for the Japan Partner Award. However, this is the first year the company has received the Global Technical Partner Award.

"We have had many successes along the way with joint product innovation, sales activity and tech support collaboration, making us particularly proud of an award that recognises the strength of our partnership," Partha Panda, Vice President of Corporate and Business Development for Trend Micro, added.

Trend Micro Deep Security, powered by XGen, has been specifically built and optimised to secure VMware customers.
