Dubai, Apr 10: Emirates Pangalites, UAE organized a family day out for its members, family and friends on 4th April 2008 at Zabeel Park, Dubai. The fun filled day started at 11.30 am with soft drinks and snacks. President Joel Quodros welcomed the gathering.

The gathering was divided into four groups (Red, Yellow, Green and Blue). In the morning session Games like Cat’s tail and musical ball for children and for groups, passing the bottle, Water Sponge, hitting the ball with orange pendulum were conducted.

Special Mangalorean lunch with vorn was catered by Jacky’s Restaurant Dubai.


The afternoon session was started with group games like relay race, Lemon and Spoon race, Tug of War and enacting on cultural themes were conducted.  End of each game points were awarded to the groups based on their performance.

Tea and snacks were served to keep the mood going. The high light of the day was Tug of War and Mother Theresa in Paper.

The Blue group emerged as champions. The day ended with house- house and distribution of prizes.

Around 80 Emirates Pangalites members, family and friends participated and enjoyed the day out.

The whole day’s programme was conducted by Joel, Jovin, Clevin, Ignatius, Dolfy and Shaila.
