All white good manufacturers have their production units in China though some may source kits from China n assemble here, all because of stiff pricing competition! In fact Xiomi, Huwaie, etc r now dominating the markets with great products! Xiomi is scheduled to launch a very high end phone which will compete with Apple's latest offer!
In fact even I phones have a marking on the backside mentioning it as "assembled in China!!

    Micromax is an Indian company.
Of course, electronics companies get their components from China because that's where most raw materials (required for electronics) are available.

Though Micromax is indian company they produce all their mobile phones in China. They are in shambles now a days due to internal issues and shortly either they will close down or revamp. Therefore, they are dumping all the remaining crap in the market.

    Dear John,
I completely agree with you. We are so used to cheap stuff that it does not matter what's in the package or where it was packed as long as it is cheap. Recently Korea deployed Missile defense. All of China stopped purchasing Korea made products. A large supermarket chain withdrew from China overnight as customers stopped buying from the supermarket. Korean brands were overnight impacted.
Look at us on the contrary. China continues to trouble us at every venue including occupying scathes of our territory, opposing every move of ours at international forums, support Pakistan in every international Forum, so much so that they veto declaring known Pakistani terrorist as terrorists. We continue to indulge in phones whose prices are lower than the production cost from the likes of OPPO, VIVO, and sundry Chinese manufacturers that today they are dominating the market. Their single point agenda is increase customer base and dominate the market to an extent that one day, they will charge premium from the very customers to whom they sold cheap.
