Kundapur, Jun 14: Just days after the attempted suicide by a minor girl over alleged sexual harassment by three men at Shedimane here, another girl was subjected to harassment, this time at Siddapur. The incident took place on Wednesday June 14.

The girl was waiting near Siddapur to catch a bus back home after school hours when the incident took place. A boy, also reportedly a minor, began clicking her pictures and luring her with eye and hand gestures.

The girl objected to the boy's behaviour and took him to task. Soon, passersby and locals began to gather in hundreds and began thrashing him. They then handed him over to Shankaranarayana police.

Sources said that the boy had harassed other women and girls earlier too and had even been debarred from school for the same issue.

Based on a complaint filed by the girl's parents, Shankaranarayana police have booked the boy under POCSO Act.

Everything is well explained by this statement "Sources said that the boy had harassed other women and girls earlier too and had even been debarred from school for the same issue.". But this gentleman is left with out any punishment by the police or the related department. If nice lesson had been given to this guy then itself, now he wouldn't have dared to do this again.

that's why I always say public should thrash such guys nicely first and then hand over to police. Because it's hardly believed that police will do that. if they are doing that, we wouldn't have seen so many such harassment instances in our society.

Police, please wake up. Take nice treatment for this guy in station so that next time he run away seeing any girl.

Yes when law system is not very effective public may take law into their own hands. The poor girl stood up and comaplined and the social workers and public of Kundpaur punished this boy. I feel age is no bar punishment for such henious crimes. This is a very bad thing that is harassing and passing lured comments against a girl who is innocent. I congrgaulate the social workers and public of kundpaura who cuaght this boy and taught him a lesson, Very good thats has happend

Our country has very poor law system. May be this boy will becone MLA of kundapur one day. You need a permission to take a picture of person as per law. Taking picture of a lady big crime. But his lawyer will prove in court that boy qaa in hospital when incident happen. Judge wil take his share and release boy from case. That's going on in our country. Otherwise atleast 5000 more jails and 25000 wardens we need keep ready at the movement. People don't know how respect a school girl won't respect thier own family ladies members

    Dear Sahid,
I worked in law enforcement department for 9 yrs. I know better than other what's going on police department, jail, court and what lawyes doing. My name is not important. Only my experience I shared in this incident. Politics playing big role in everywhere. After submitting all documents to passport office what police asking you? Your date of birth, marriage certificate, ration card , Adhar card, finally your domicile certificate ( Vasthava patra). Any one question about this ? Actually police only need to check his crime history and any pending cases. Dueypu know that? Its called police enquiry in local station.

Harassment of Girls should be dealt with strictly. Such acts if not controlled will lead to more heinous crime like rape. If police are unable to control such acts, public will interfere and do the necessary.

Good that the girl objected to his luring, and taking pictures. Some girls get afraid and runaway ,that makes boys more to make them afraid and lock them. Now he can take foto of police ,.who knows how many girls were threatend from them.Do a thourough investigation.Looks like thes e boys are more mature before they comeout of mothers womb.Or parents negligence to kkeep them under control.

Minor or major no one must harass girls. A good job by social workers and public of Kundapura who thrashed this boy who deserves no mercy. It is now common to harass girls and with modern amneities like cell phones and whatsapp girls often undergo harassement in the hands of naughty boys. Here the boy was clicking pictures of an innocnet girl and also making unwated gestures. Girls must be protected and anyone who harass girls must be punished. I congragulate the social workers and public of Kundpaur who thrashed this wicked boy badly, Only when they learn like this there will be peace and harmony towards girls.
