Mangaluru: PG courses inaugurated at FMMC

Mangaluru, Jun 23: The inaugural programme of the postgraduate courses for the year 2017-18 was held at Father Muller Medical College on June 20.

The programme commenced with a prayer song followed by a welcome address by dean Dr Jayaprakash Alva. The lighting of the lamp was followed by a message by the administrator Fr Ajith Menezes in which he highlighted the accomplishments of the institution. This was followed by the presidential address by director Fr Richard Coelho who spoke about the importance of selfless service to others.

Dr Rakesh Rai delivered the vote of thanks.

The documentary on the history of the institution was screened after a refreshment break followed by a self introduction round of the new entrants. The programme ended with talks on college discipline and rules and regulations in the campus by the dean and the administrator.

CMS Dr Sanjeev Rai, medical superintendent Dr Udaykumar K, vice-dean Dr Padmaja Udaykumar and postgraduate coordinators were in attendance along with the heads of various departments and postgraduates of batch 2017-18.
