B R Shetty Launches 'Sundara Sene' for Krishnana Udupi Project

Udupi, Apr 21: An organization of over 1,000 volunteers called 'Sundara Sene' of the Udupi Math, was launched by B R Shetty, well-known entrepreneur and CEO of New Medical Centre, Abu Dhabi here on Sunday April 20. The Sundara Sene will be undertaking an ambitious project called 'Sundara Udupi Sri Krishnana Udupi' very soon.  

Vishwesha Theertha Sri Padaru of Pejawar after blessing the project called upon the union government to take initiatives to protect Ram Sethu, on which a raging debate is going on for long. 

'The Bharatiya Janata Party sanctioned a grant of Rs 12.87 lac to Udupi during its tenure as a partner in the coalition government. And it is even willing to earmark a sum of Rs 100 crore in every budget, if it forms a government, promised Yeddyurappa, former chief minister.

K Raghupati Bhat, former MLA and others were present on the occasion. The air conditioning device within the temple was inaugurated jointly by Sugunendra Teertha  Swamiji and Laxmivara Teertha in the presence of Sandya Pai, editor of Taranga.

    Excellent project for udupi. I hope without any politics said project should go-head and see that whole udupi city looks beautiful and attract millions of people across the globe. I am sure we can do it? All we need good support and good governing body who has the knowledge in developing city as a whole considering history of udupi..
